We are in a world struggling with globalizing-localizing and exclusivism-pluralism tensions. We assume that dialogical relationships – between and within individuals and within and between science, philosophy, religion, and art – are today at the heart of living together successfully. These challenges have led to the establishment of this institute with the aim of facilitating communication among those interested in advancing the following dialogical goals:
Facilitating dialogical knowledge of the self and the other
Facilitating peace and inter-communal social development
Nurturing dialogue among those who are committed to dialogue
Creating innovative methods to promote dialogue both within and between individuals, and in Science, Philosophy, and Art
Transforming the will-to-power into the will-to-cooperation
Transforming the violent mastering of the other by a self into the disciplined flourishing of the self and others within a dialogical community
Promoting mental health through dialogical approaches
